Measuring for Stone Countertops
Step 1
Make a rough sketch of your kitchen.
Don't worry about drawing it to scale, or having straight lines.
Make note of any appliances, walls, and sinks.

Step 2
Measure the length of the existing countertop.
Don't Worry about being precise, round all measurements up to the next inch.
These measurements are only rough numbers to help get an estimate of cost.
We will make a template to get final cut dimensions later.

Step 3
Measure the Depth of your countertop.
Standard kitchen cabinets are 24"
Standard vanity cabinets are 21"
Our overhang is 1.5"
​
If you want a specific overhang or your cabinets are not standard size, please make note of that information.
Step 4
Measure from the wall to the center of your sink, and range.
Also measure the width of your sink and range.

That's all there is to it.
Your drawings are complete.
Now its time to get an estimate.
